GAYA's sounds and feel have their roots in North Africa, Turkey, the West and of course the Middle East-Israel.
Sounds and voices from different cultures merge together in GAYA.
GAYA's song "Yachad" ("Shir L'Ahava"), which has become an anthem in Israel as well as with their fans around the world, has come to symbolize this group which, from the moment it comes on stage, sweeps its audience into a rhythmic, energetic, emotional and completely unforgettable experience.
GAYA was formed in 1998, and with three albums on the market it has established itself as Israel's leading group in the field popular world music.
During the last years GAYA has appeared in the USA, Canada, Mexico, the UK, France, Australia, Russia, Ukraine and Germany, broadening its fan-base and laying the foundation for the eventual release of an album aimed at the "international" market.
GAYA vocalists are backed by a sound emanating from instruments from around the world: guitar, oud ,flutes, drums, percussion, bass and keyboards.
